Our Staff

Our Staff members are an amazing group of people. They come from all corners of the world. It is a melting pot of cultural and work experiences in different fields. However they all share their passion for Scuba Diving, love for the Ocean and the Environment.

Some join us for a few months of the season. Others have been with us for many years.

All of them contribute to make Don Foster’s Dive Cayman DNA: a casual and flexible dive company with firm principles on safety, customer service, education and with the ultimate goal of passing along our passion for the under water world.

If you want to learn more about our crew, here they are:

Sergio - Operations Manager: Sergio grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina watching Lloyd Bridges's Sea Hunt Series. From that time on he knew he wanted to be a Diver. Learnt to dive at age 15 and became a Commercial Diver at age 18. Diving took him to may places from rivers to oceans, quarries and dams.

He has been a member of Don Foster's Dive for over 25 years.

" Diving has been part of my life for almost 40 years. I am passionate about the ocean and its creatures. More than ever I want to introduce people to diving. Every dive I see something I had not seen before. I learn in every dive I make"

Sergio fell in love with the Cayman Islands and its people from day one. "The diving is superb, aboundant marine life, sheer walls, diversity, awesome visibility! Although dive sites are not to far from one another, no site is the same!"

At age 54 he still watches Sea Hunt on Youtube!

Cally - Office Manager: Cally multitasks taking care of the reservations, e-mails, purchasing merchandise and many many more things.

She is originally from Massachusetts, USA. Her and her family started coming to Caymans as divers since the early eighties. Water lovers they are, they decided to establish themselves here and both, Cally and her husband Bruce started working in the Dive Industry. After many dive trips and Sting Ray City trips now Cally helps our guests to find what they are looking for to make sure they get the full Cayman diving experience.

Besides loving the island life and Scuba Diving, Cally is a talented musician and singer.

If you talk or e-mail Cally, please do not hesitate to meet her while you are here. She will be very happy to know how your diving adventures with us are going.

Danielle - Assistant Manager: All the way from Sydney, Australia, Danielle is an MSDT, IYT Diveboat Mate and Sergio's right-hand gal!

Danielle has been diving in Australia, South Africa, Galapagos and throughout the South Pacific & Caribbean. She has been a PADI Instructor since 2012, working in Australia, Cayman Islands and the BVI's. Her favourite sea creatures are stingrays, especially the elegant spotted eagle ray. You can often see Danielle working her charm with the rays at Stingray City.

Danielle also enjoys stand-up paddleboarding, yoga, wake-boarding, snowboarding and exploring new places.

Esteban grew up in Argentina. He started his diving adventures at the age of 15. As a Dive Instructor and Commercial Diver he visited many places in South America including Antartica. He has been a member of Don Foster's Dive for over ten years.

Esteban believes Scuba Diving is a life style and the Ocean is his Church!

For him the best about diving is the people he meets, the under water life and the silence of the under water world.

His favorite places around Cayman are Sting Ray City and diving the Wall. He finds something and everything in every dive.

When Esteban is not diving he is dancing Tango, playing soccer or learning knitting.

Nakai was born and grew up in the Cayman Islands.

He spent his life in and around the Ocean. He holds a PADI Dive Master rating and Wreck Specialty.

He became a Dive Professional following his father foot steps. Nakai says: "Diving has been around me ever since I was little so, why not become a professional?"

Nakai loves the world down under and thinks "it is better than being on dry land"

Nakai's diving experience has been in the Cayman Islands only however, he believes there is a lot to see if you just take the time to observe and become one with the sea.

Will is from South Africa and has had a passion for diving all of his life.

After working as a commercial diver and aquarist in South Africa, Will made the move to Grand Cayman to follow his dream of being a Dive Instructor back in 2011. He is an IYT Coxswain and PADI Specialty Instructor. He loves to keep his eye out for pelagic fish as they're his favourite, the bigger the better!

On days off you can find Will freediving the Kittiwake, surfing or kiteboarding.

Matthew is from Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

He is a Master Scuba Diver Trainer; EFR Instructor and IYT Coxswain.

" My parents got me a basic dive gear and an Open Water Class for my 15th Birthday. I was a natural underwater". Diving once a year during vacations was not enough for Matthew. After High School he decided to pursue a job in the Dive Industry.

He completed the Instructor Course in the frigid waters of the Pacific Northwest in British Columbia.

He then dived in Utila with Deep Blue Divers and during the last few years he has been working with Don Foster's Dive in Grand Cayman.

"I love the quiet underwater environment; no cell phones, pagers, e-mails...just me and my bubbles."

"I like the crystal clear waters, short travel time to dive sites and easy diving."

When Matt is no teaching diving or driving boats, he is maintaining dive gear!

Scott was born and grew up in La Range, Saskatchewah, Canada.

During his youth he dreamed with becoming an Ice Hockey player and one day represent team Canada. However that did not panned out and he became a Dive Instructor.

He has dived in Malaysia, Thailand, Borneo and Saskatoon. He also lived in Norway for a while.

His favorite specialty to teach is "Dry suit Diver" however we have not seen how good he is with that here in the Caymans.

His favorite fish are the Peacock Flounder, the Cornetfish, the Stonefish and a Coelacanth he says he saw at our house Reef.

As a Polar Bear Guide and Security escort (former careers) he is a great Dive Instructor.

He chose the Cayman Islands because Princess Fergie touched his soul.

He has changed the hockey stick for a push broom and you can find him sweeping the decks at Don Foster's Dive every morning where he tells our guests embelished stories of how he fought off the Polar Bears.

Back in 2003 Nick experienced his first dive in Lake Okanagan. He was forever hooked with scuba.

He loves the tropics and has lived in both Bonaire and the Cayman Islands.

He enjoys cooking. He says a former job was as a Chef but since nobody ate his food he turned to Scuba Instruction and Boat Captain.

Other jobs he has experience in are lab techinican and Geology (we think those are fancy descriptions for stocking shelves in a pharmacy and quarrying rocks in the frozen tundra of Canada!)

She loves photography, traveling and perfecting her own web site.

Lindsey's fave creatures are the Lettucce Leaf slugs. Orange Canyon on the West side wall of Grand Cayman is her favorite site.

She feels at home here and not only loves the diving in Cayman but the people of the island as well.
